Winter Carnival
On Sunday Jan. 16, 2005, members of our Waggin' Hearts
Therapy Dogs group participated in a fund raiser for the Montgomery
County Burn Foundation in Maryland. Winter Carnival is
sponsored by Paws for Kids and helps raise funds to support the Burn
Camp that is held each August in Keezletown, VA. We were paired up
with children who played games with the dogs from Doggie Dress Up to agility
obstacle courses & Musical

Burn Camp
On August 19, 2004, eight members of the Waggin' Hearts Therapy Dog group attended visitor's day at *Burn Camp.* This camp is sponsored by the Burn Foundation of Montgomery County and Paws for Kids in Maryland, and was held at Brethren Woods in Keezletown, VA.
It was a wonderful day filled with all kinds of activities for the children to enjoy. For our part, we joined *Paws for Kids* in making well-trained, lovable dogs available for the kids to interact and play with. There was agility equipment set up for the kids to take the dogs through, a pond for the dogs to go swimming in, balls and frisbees to throw for the dogs to fetch, and time for the kids to just hang out with one of the dogs.
Needless to say, the dogs were a big hit with everyone including the counselors who needed some *Puppy Love* too! We have been invited back to attend the Winter Carnival that is held in Maryland on January 16, 2005.
Thank you to all the members who participated in this great event! You and your canine partner brought a lot of joy to a lot of people at burn camp!
